Wizards of The Coast Makes a Marketplace for Modules

Wizards has done an awesome thing for the realm of tabletop gaming. Today on the official Wizards blog, they unveiled their newest project: The Dungeon Masters’ Guild.

Operating similarly to DriveThruRPG in execution, the Dungeon Master’s Guild aims to allow D&D players to share their adventures with each other. Any module set in the Forgotten Realms universe is eligible for submission.

It is expected that this kind of marketplace will become more common among gaming communities in the future. Steam’s marketplace has skyrocketed since its launch in 2012, culminating in a massive $57 million dollars to Steam Workshop creators as of the end of 2015.

The Dungeon Masters Guild works with the Open Gaming License, which also got an update to help accommodate this project.
