Game Manufacturers Association Elects Board of Directors

The Game Manufacturers Association trade group elected their new Board of Directors recently.

The Game Manufacturers Association (GAMA) is a trade organization for game developers of all kinds, from RPGs to LARPs to board games. It was founded in 1977 by Origins Game Fair and later became a nonprofit in 1982. Their mission is, in their words, “to promote the general interest of all persons engaged in the buying, selling, licensing, and manufacturing of hobby game products.”At their meeting mid-June in Columbus, OH, the organization elected former VP Stephan Brissaud, the COO of Iello Games, to the position of President. Marie Poole, CBO of Lone Shark Games, was elected Vice President. Other members elected include Secretary Brian Dalrymple (Owner of The Adventure Game Store) and Directors-at-Large Anne-Marie Dewitt (Co-Owner of Fireside Games), and Jeff Tidball (COO of Atlas Games).

They will be joined by existing board members Rick Loomis, Bob Maher, Will Niebling, Larry Roznai, Travis Severance, Mike Webb, and Aaron Witten.

The next Origins Game Fair will be June 13-17, 2018, at the Greater Columbus Convention Center.
